UPDATE DECEMBER 2009
Dear Neighbour
The BVRA have been asked by the Mid Sussex District Council to come up with ideas and a business plan in order to start the process of building a community centre in Bolnore.
Over the next few weeks we will be publishing these ideas on the website and invite residents to help and support the activity.
Initially the BVRA have set out the following key statements as a basis for all ongoing Community Centre discussions.
1. The BVRA will make sure residents views are canvassed and at the very least that the following are assessed so they can be taken into account during the planning
and build of any facilities;
a. the protection of surrounding residents quality of life
b. the noise impact
c. the ecological/environmental impact
d. the congestion, access and parking impact
2. The BVRA commits to lobby MSDC and Crest Nicholson to hold Crest to legal obligations surrounding the provision of community facilities. This is irrespective of Crests
claim to need commercial viability. BVRA also continues to remind Crest Nicholson of its ethical responsibility to deliver sufficient and appropriate services to a development
the size of Bolnore Village.
3. The BVRA will work constructively and positively with the local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure residents opinions are taken into account during the
development of the Community Centre and Recreation Ground. We also expect the local authorities to recognise their responsibility to deliver appropriate facilities
reflecting the size and established nature of Bolnore Village.
We now need your help, please volunteer to support the Community Centre project, it takes as much or as little time as you can spare. Your ideas and time will be
gratefully received and you can have a say in the future of Bolnore Village.
